A series of 53 characters and magical objects from the world of Harry Potter. Can be used to create a geometry display. One for each week of the year (plus)!!
Coordinate art is created using geometry skills in either a 1, 2 or 4 quadrant graph. Suitable for children from Year 5 upwards with a variety of simple and more complicated creations (including decimal coordinates).
Each character comes with an A4 sheet of how to draw instructions. Instruction documents are named but the sheet itself has been left without a title so children can be kept guessing which character or object they’re creating.
Also included is a Powerpoint showing each creation in line pencil and coloured.
A fun activity where students get to design a garden based on a set of instructions where they are given fraction amounts for each item. They then answer questions based on the garden they have drawn. This resource is a word document with an example solution ( though not the only solution) designed for year 4 children just discovering fractions of quantities for the first time. however, it could be used as a refresh resource for year 5 and 6 pupils.
A Word Document containing 14 different time problems at Year 4 level. Can be used as an end of unit check to highlight any tricky areas that may need going over.
A word document and answer sheet created to help children identify equivalent fractions. Children just starting out with fractions may need to use a fractions wall to begin with to help them identify equivalencies before they move on to be able to see for themselves the pattern.
Created for children in Year 4 but could be used as a quick recap for children in year 5/6.
A Word Document containing 8 different questions based around the mathematical language of prime numbers, square numbers, factors and multiples. Suitable for yr 5 and 6 pupils or as a review for yr 7. Also contains a PowerPoint showing one work through solution to each question on individual slides.
A Worksheet, word document aimed at year 5 and 6 children that looks at different properties of number and the maths language we use to describe them. Children sort the numbers according to their properties then answer questions based on how they’ve sorted them. Also includes a Powerpoint showing the solution, one property at a time which can be talked through as a class.
A word document containing a range of questions about integers and their prime factors. Intended for children in year 6 but could be used as a revision lesson in year 7.
Word document containing 10 place value riddles. Each riddle has several clues that the students can solve to work out each individual digit in the number.
There is also a Powerpoint with a work through of each riddle showing how to solve them.
