This is a revision mat for AQA Combined Science Paper 1.
Specifically looking at Circuit Components within the topic Electricity.
This download includes 2 card sort activities to allow for differentiation. These are both domino style activities where students will make a chain of cards with their answer from the previous card leading directly onto their next question.
The first activity is more suited for higher ability students as students are required to match their component to their description/function rather than the name of the component.
The second card sort is more suited for lower ability students as this one simply includes the names of the components and their symbols.

POINTS PURSUIT is a gamified revision strategy that can be integrated with any rewards system of your choosing and is a nice way to increase competition. Questions start off as low demand at the top and then progressively increase in difficulty as students move down the sheet - please note that I have used this activity style with higher ability classes and many students have started at the bottom to gain the most points and then worked their way up the sheet as an effective strategy.

Nando’s Chilli Summery Questions
For the Nando’s Chilli: this activity is designed to be printed 2 to a page and is a perfect end of topic quick summary activity to identify gaps in knowledge.
I have completed one half of the sheet to show example questions for lower ability students and the other for higher ability students. The worksheet is available to be downloaded as a PowerPoint slide and so can be edited as desired or used as is.
I typically allow students to jump in on the ‘spice level’ of their choice if running out of time but prefer to start all students on lemon and herb and have them complete tasks moving up the sheet as a timed activity.
Plus one QUESTION MAZE
QUESTION MAZE is a gamified revision strategy that can be integrated with any rewards system of your choosing and is a nice way to increase competition. Mix demand of questions are scattered throughout the maze with instructions for points clearly indicated for students. This activity works well as part of an individual or group task.

This is a revision mat for AQA Triple Science Paper 1.
Specifically looking at Percentage Yield and Atom Economy within the topic Quantitative Chemistry. TRIPLE ONLY.
SAVE THE SNOWMAN is a gamefied revision strategy to be used either in small teams or as a whole class!
It works exactly like battleships. Each team secretly draws their snowmen onto their record sheet and then teams take it in turns to launch firey snowballs at the other teams coordinates! However, to throw a snowball, they must first correctly answer a question, hidden behind the presents! If you’re lucky, there might even be a candy cane hidden behind the present - a free shot! Teams win by ‘melting’ all the other teams snowballs (or by melting the highest proportion of the other teams snowballs by the end of the lesson). The powerpoint is interactive with pre-made hyperlinks, all you have to do is change the questions hidden behind the presents! You can easily increase the difficulty to suit your class ability.
