This fun and engaging Phonics Jeopardy Style Game is the perfect way to review and learn phonics. I typically put the class into small groups and ask a member of the group to choose a color and number. That is the question that they have to answer. If correct they get the dollar value of the question. Then I move to the next group. Alternatively the whole class answers and then we tally up the points to get a winner. Categories included are; long vowels, short vowels, blends, r-controlled vowels, and digraphs. I run it on an interactive whiteboard but would be equally successful on a projector, computer or TV screen. Alternatively it could be run for an individual student on their own device. This Commonwealth Games word search is huge. Personally, I printed it off on A3 paper as it has all of the 70 Nations and Territories that are attending the Commonwealth Games in 2022. Included in this pack are colourfully designed Te Reo labels for your classroom resources..There are three labels per A4 page. Each label has the word in both English and Maori. All you need to do is simply print, cut and laminate for durability. They are the perfect reminders for both teacher and student This is an excellent resource to use all year long and in particular for Maori Language Week. I use them all year long. With beginning readers in mind, these initial sounds alphabet cards are perfect for young children learning their first words. They are ready to print. All that is required is to laminate them for extra strength. Personally I use card stock for even more durability. The students just use plastic letters or whatever you have lying around and match the initial sound with the appropriate picture. I also cut them into the 6 picture strips, but you could leave them on the A4 page giving each student 12 initial sounds to find, as opposed to 6.
