Lesson outcomes: To know what Muslims believe the purpose of the family is. To explain Muslim attitudes to different types of family. To evaluate Mohammad’s teachings about the family The lesson is fully resourced and can be used alongside the OXFORD textbook. Students are encouraged to create an advice leaflet (template on the powerpoint) about the importance of family in Islam. The lesson also addresses the importance of the family supporting the Ummah in Islam. This lesson ends with students using their knowledge to write a 5 mark answer with peer assessment guidance and model answers.
