This lesson is presenting the difficult legacy of the WW1 in Germany: the casualties, costs, the life of civilians during the war as well as the German Revolution 1918-19.

The main aim of this presentation is to enhance learning by adding the visual stimuli (pictures, diagrams, photographs) as well as video links, so all ability pupils will be able to access it. This unit presents the factors that made development of the genetics possible: advancement in technology (electron microscope) and science community cooperation (The Human Genome Project). There are couple of links to videos that support the learning: invention of electron microscope and documentary about Human Genome project and future genetic developments in medicine.
