What was the trenches really like? Historical Enquiry

(0)
A clear historical enquiry focused PPT with activities included to be used with a class investigating **what was life was like in the trenches. ** Students will need to have a copy of the table and move around the classroom read and completing the table based on the information gained from the individual sources. It’s a great activity for getting students moving around and reading fictional accounts of the war. I have created the sources with the intention of attempting to include a wide range of issues from the war. For example; colonialism; nationalism; the war stench; officers’ attitude; plastic surgery due to injuries sustained; genuine conditions of the trenches; the constant artillery shelling and how British nationalism propelled by the war effort helped to maintain support. Hope you can enjoy this source. Please feel free to adjust but credit if you do. Please follow: @mrmrsroberts_ (twitter & instagram)
