Romeo and Juliet - The Prince’s Speech (PowerPoint and worksheets) This Romeo and Juliet teaching resource is designed to help students develop their knowledge and understanding of themes and Shakespeare’s use of language. The lesson requires pupils to analyse the Prince’s speech closely, pulling out quotations which reflect the Prince’s character and the themes of anger, violence and hatred. They need to write an analysis of the speech in detail using PETER. This is a four part lesson which contains reading, comprehension, analysis and a written outcome.
