2 Lessons, one on drawing graphs to show regions that satisfy 1 or more Inequalities. The second is in reverse, being given a region and identifying which Inequalities satisfy it. Includes sheets that go with the lessons. The pupils will need to have covered the equation of a straight line in order to do lesson 2. Single lesson on Prime Decomposition, including worksheet with some different types of pattern to spot, such as powers of decomposed square numbers. Also a simplified explanation of how banks use Prime numbers. There is a link in the plenary that shows (at least for my classroom PC!) that computers find it hard to break down even numbers with 8+ digits, never mind 200!) A number of people messaged me asking if I had one for circles - and here is is now! I had to get creative with finding flags I could use, and I’d recommend that you have already had a lesson on Area and Circumference before this, as the questions get very challenging! Pupils learn about plan, front and side elevations and how to draw objects on isometric paper. The worksheet has an investigation into making objects with 5 cubes, as well as some challenging questions on building objects based on their elevations, with as few cubes as possible. Please note that the questions in Section B and the 'impossible shapes to make' are not my own and have been taken from other sheets found online. This lesson is intended as an introduction to Simultaneous Equations, where students solve picture-based puzzles without using formal Algebra. I'm a big fan of the excellent group challenges created and uploaded to the TES by Chris Smith (https://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Maths-Group-Challenges-Puzzle-Sheets-6179530), so much so that we have built them into our scheme of work.
