ADDITION & SUBTRACTION WORKSHEETS - 2 DIGITS

ADDITION & SUBTRACTION WORKSHEETS - 2 DIGITS

(0)
In the first file I have created 56 random lists of two digit addition questions, all resulting in only two digit answers and none of which include carrying. The second file contains 150 random lists of two digit addition questions, but this time they all involve carrying. There are two types of printable formats, the first intended as a question sheet asking the pupils to write the answers as sums into their exercise books. With the second version the answers may be written directly onto the worksheet. Once you have chosen which version you want to use, enter a list number in the yellow box to produce an A4 sheet of 12 questions - the yellow box and surrounding area will not be displayed in the print-out and I have left the title cells unlocked so that you may re-name if required. I have included numbers list sheets allowing you to highlight each list every time you print a newly generated question sheet, making it easy for you to keep a record of the lists you have already used. There are also answers sheets. For those who would prefer the convenience of having all the sheets immediately visible and ready the print, or simply do not like Excel, I have now added PDF versions. I have also included 56 worksheets of Two Digit Subtractions. If these are favourably received I will be happy to do the same with those worksheets that involve carrying. pssg1955@gmail.com

CROSS ADDITIONS & SUBTRACTIONS

Like the earlier Cross Numbers and Cross Multiplications, these puzzles are designed in the same way as a traditional crossword but using numbers instead of words. This time I have used only additions and subtractions, and the answer to each clue should be entered into the matching squares on the numbered grid. There are two files, one Additions, the other Subtractions, each containing ten puzzles together with a solution sheet. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.

MULTIPLICATION

This file contains a blank template intended perhaps as a class exercise. There is a choice of 100 lists of random three-digit numbers to be multiplied by a varied list of numbers between 2-12. Simply enter one list number between 1-100 into the blue square at the top of the sheet to generate a printable worksheet of 20 multiplication questions. Your chosen list number will be recorded at the bottom of the sheet – the file also includes a solutions sheet. I have of course had to protect formulas but I have left heading section unlocked so you can change this to suit your own requirements.

There are twenty printable sheets in this file, each containing a partially-filled multiplication grid. The aim of the exercise is to fill in the orange vertical and horizontal headings with the numbers 1-12 so that the full puzzle may be completed. Multiplication skills and an element of logic will be necessary to complete each puzzle correctly. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.

This file works in the same way as the multiplication speed test, this one contains five worksheets of random divisions which can be done straight onto the computer. Each test begins with a blank sheet and after entering X into the blue square the first question will appear. Once all 30 questions have been answered the score will automatically appear, together with the time taken.

The file contains two templates intended to be printed out as activity sheets to test times tables. With 100 different number combinations available simply choose a list number and times table number to create a new activity sheet every time. Please let me know if you think anything can be changed or added to improve the templates. Thank you

As mentioned in my earlier resource I am not a teacher but I use Excel to create activities to encourage number work. In this file there is a sheet for each table from 1-12 to use on the computer to test straight multiplication and also randomly.

I am not a teacher, I am just interested in using Excel to help children learn maths in a fun way. On each sheet there are a random number of multiplication sums where the answers may be entered straight onto the computer. I hope it will be of some use.
