In this unit, about the “Rainforest” you will refine your sketching skills through the inspiring works of the renowned French artist Henri Rousseau. Rousseau, known for his lush jungle landscapes and dreamlike scenes, provides a rich tapestry of imagery that serves as the foundation for this engaging and immersive art experience. The unit is structured to progressively build sketching proficiency, starting with fundamental exercises that focus on observational skills and understanding the basic elements of Rousseau’s compositions. As the unit unfolds, the students will experiment with various sketching techniques and shading methods, to bring Rousseau’s enchanting jungle motifs to life on paper.

George’s Marvellous Medicine - Reading Comprehension I have used this resource with my class and the children have really enjoyed the tasks. Each lesson is based on a chapter from the book.
