Reasoning is a very important part of the new end of KS expectations. This pack provides practice reasoning questions covering a wide range of National Curriculum Objectives. Perfect for plenaries and lesson activities as well as end of year test practice. The pack is aimed at children in years 2 but can be used with other pupils throughout the Primary phase. This 73 slide PowerPoint is the perfect revision tool for the forthcoming Grammar test. In total 35 different grammatical terms are covered with each term covered over two slides. Slide 1 - a multiple choice quiz where the term is given and the children have to then choose from four possible definitions. Slide 2 - the correct definition is given. This is then followed by an activity for the children to complete which will consolidate their understanding of the grammatical term. Our 'Terrific at Tables' activity pack provides children with weekly times table practice. This pack comes with 12 weeks of activities with a different multiplication times table focused on each week from 2x to 12x. The final week will include a mixture of all the times tables covered. Each week there are three activities to help the children learn the focused times table. These include: An empty times table grid for the children to complete. A spider diagram activity where the children have to record related facts. A speed test which includes a range of multiplication tests and associated division facts. This resource is perfect for regular practise of times tables and can be completed at various times throughout the week. Over time the children will become multiplication experts allowing them to apply skills to other areas of maths and therefore gaining in confidence in a range of mathematical areas. These activities are aimed at children in lower KS2 but can be used across the key stage. The activities are best to be completed in books or on paper. These activities are provided in both PDF and PowerPoint format so they can be displayed on a whiteboard or printed out. This 58 slide PowerPoint is the perfect revision tool for the KS2 literacy curriculum In total 17 different types of puncutation are covered with each term covered over at least two slides. Slide 1 - a multiple choice quiz where the term is given and the children have to then choose from four possible definitions. Slide 2/3/4 - the correct definition is given. This is then followed by an activity for the children to complete which will consolidate their understanding of the type of punctuation. Depending on the type of punctuation, some have the definition and activity on the same slide whilst others covering 3 separate slides. A detailed and comprehensive maths investigation based on designing and running your own theme park. Task 1: Planning your site using squared paper on a £500,000 budget Task 2: Running your theme park Task 3: Deciding on entry price (revised) Task 4: Profit on entry fee (revised) Task 5 - Profit & Loss Task 6 - Annual Profit Task 7 - Making Improvements Task 8 - Running your theme park Task 9 - Entry Fee Task 10 - How many visitors? Task 11 - What are your profits Task 12 - Taxes and Insurance Task 13 - Your loan 18 further tasks now included taking you up to the final season (season 3) The investigation gives the children opportunities to practise key aspects of number including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and finding percentages of numbers. The investigation takes the children through step by step, they are in complete control of their spending and decide exactly what is included in their park. It also gives the children an insight to running a business with taxes, insurance and running costs all included. They learn about the power of marketing and the effect this has on the visitors to their park and their profit. We have also included a spreadsheet which children can type into to work out their profit or loss and a smart board file to help with your teaching. Finally, we have added a ‘design an advert’ competition where the winner wins some spending money for their park.
