This pack includes guided reading plans for the following text: Bill's New Frock by Anne Fine (years 4/5) In total there are 7 guided reading lesson plans, covering each of the chapters in the book. Each plan contains a 'reading and responding to the text' activity which is designed to be completed with the class teacher with the reading group. There are then follow up independent activities which the children can then complete during the remainder of the week. All of these activities are closely linked to each of the reading assessment focuses and these are listed at the beginning of each plan. Each plan also has a list of difficult words which the children can check the meaning of before the teacher led session, space to list the names of the children who are working on the text and a space for a teacher notes and evaluation. Chilli pepper maths challenges are a differentiated approach to solving maths problems. This year 5 pack contains differentiated questions from each area of the Year 5 curriculum. With the introduction of the new National Curriculum it is vitally important that grammar is taught throughout the school and is an integral part of the curriculum. This pack comes with 12 weeks of activities with five activities per week. These include activities which are linked to all aspects of the new grammar National Curriculum. There are also activities from the Year 3/4 National Curriculum which will serve as useful revision to the children.
