Laminate and punch holes and thread through with a string to hang around the classroom or peg onto a washing line across a wall. Match up - Match lower case letters to upper case letters. Other games – lay out 4 or 5 letters in alphabetical order, e.g. k, l, m, n, o, cover them over. Take a letter away without the students seeing and ask which letter is missing. Practice writing frames using Sassoon dotted font These are in upper and lower cases. Each one should be laminated. After focussing on e.g. ‘t’, students can practice writing over the dots and then without the dots on the line. Content Teacher’s notes 2 Sets of Aa-Zz puzzle pieces – Cut/paste Aa-Zz -Matching letters of the alphabet to pictures Aa-Zz - Tracing over letters and matching to pictures Cut and Paste to match Puzzle pieces Place a selection of Aa – Zz puzzle sheets on tables for children to cut out and match upper and lower case letters and stick into workbook or on a separate sheet of paper. They can trace inside the letters with different color pencils or crayons (rainbow tracing). For the uppercase part of the puzzle ask students to write words beginning with capital letters such as their name if it begins with that letter, a city, day or month, a place of interest etc and draw pictures. This Easter egg Easter/Spring product relates to subtraction equations/sums whereby there are missing numbers in the equations. There are two versions of the worksheets. They all contain word problems which involves solving how many teeth are missing. Students can use various methods to solve the missing numbers. There is a number line at the bottom of the sheets which students can use if they choose this method to work out their answers. This product contains four different CVC word work and missing CVC words in sentences activities. Students read simple sentences and choose the correct rhyming CVC word, complete sentences with multiple-choice CVC words and read short poems with rhyming words. Set 1: Worksheets A and B - 10 sentences per sheet Students read each sentence and then match the highlighted word with the correct rhyming word. Students choose one out of the three choices in the box. Set 2: Worksheets 1 and 2: 10 sentences per sheet Students read each sentence and complete it with a suitable word from the box. There is a choice of three words but only one is suitable to complete the sentence.
