Addition and Subtraction number bonds to 10 tests

Addition and Subtraction number bonds to 10 tests

(0)
Addition and Subtraction number bonds to 10 facts test, with one hundred questions and answers for each, covering number bonds up to 10. Using ‘Retrieval Practice’, pupils who regularly perform this test against the clock not only increase their attainment level but also increase their ability to rapidly recall the 12 times tables facts. This is a great tool for implementing retrieval practice in the classroom Used regularly you will see the impact on the pupils ability to rapidly recall the facts For lower ability pupils doing addition bonds, I model how to place the larger digit in their head and to count on. Initially they will need support and exposure to the facts in approx 30 minutes per session. Over the weeks you will start to see more questions answered at a greater speed, as well as, some retrieval from memory. the longer it is in place the more retrieval occurs. I have seen pupils who started with less than 10 in 20 minutes, end up with 100 in 4 minutes. For subtraction I teach the pupils how to efficiently use their addition bonds to calculate the difference. This reduces the need to learn so many facts. You could also try our times tables multiplication questions, division tests for those looking for mastery levels.

Retrieval Practice - 12 Times Tables Tests- Multiplication and Division checks

Times Tables multiplication and division facts test with one hundred and forty-four questions and answers, covering the 12 x 12 times tables facts in random order. Using ‘Retrieval practice’, pupils who regularly perform this test against the clock not only increase their attainment level but also increase their ability to rapidly recall the 12 times tables facts. This is a great tool for meeting the government’s new times tables multiplication checks in Year 4. It is also a great intervention tool for catch-up maths. Used regularly you will see the impact on the pupils ability to rapidly recall the facts could also try our times tables division tests for those looking for mastery levels. Suggested test times - start at 6 -10 minutes and gradually reduce the time down to around 3- 4 minutes. This will depend on age and ability. Pupikls who complete this in under 3 minutes are operating at a mastery level and should move onto mastering the division facts as well.
