A resource to use into any lesson in which you introduce the preterite tense. It is loosely based around the topic of food and los gustos culinarios. There are 40 sentences in total, 20 different sentences to translate into each language, which recycle key technology vocabulary, complex and idiomatic structures and specific grammar points. The sentences include: past, present & future tenses lo que más me fastidia acabo de + infinitive desde hace + present tense imperfect & past description Conditional sentences (si tuviera mi elección/ si fuera rico) Verbs which are followed by an infinitive (suelo, prefiero, evito etc.) ‘gustar’ verbs the use of para + infinitive perfect tense (siempre he soñado con…)

The PowerPoint begins with some geographical and cultural stimulus, followed by introducing yourself in Spanish and then some key classroom instructions. There is fun YouTube video linked to the vocabulary and a Memrise for use with BYOD group or for homework.
