Over 60 worksheets of simple counting activities illustrated and designed for use mainly with adults and teenagers.
Count and draw sets of up to 10 objects, write the number.
The sheets are grouped into 1 to 3, 1 to 5 and 1 to 10.
Group objects into sets containing up to 5 objects.
Join sets containing the same number of items.Identify or create sets with more or fewer things in them than a given set.
Are there enough items e.g. sandwiches, apples ?
Shape vocabulary, circles, triangles, squares.
Print onto card then laminate so the pages can be reused with a wipe off marker pen.

This power point can be used very flexibly to teach, practise or revise various algebraic processes whilst also reminding students about the basic properties of shapes.
The slides show a wide variety of shapes. For each shape students can create an expression or formula for its perimeter ( and also for the area for many of the shapes ). In doing this they can practise collecting like terms, using brackets in expressions ( and multiplying them out ). The formulas created can then be used to substitute numbers in or for rearranging work.
There are two worksheets ( with answers ) to go with the powerpoint which concentrate on creating expressions for perimeters.

This resource can be printed on A4 pages to create an A5 size booklet. The idea is to practise a particular times table e.g. the SIX times table by filling in the number 6 in the box on the first page. This will automatically update all the questions to require multiples of six in the answers. By changing the 6 to a different number you can practise a different times table.
Vocabulary used includes ‘divisible’, ‘multiple’, ‘product’ and ‘remainder’. Exercises include commutativity, multiplying by decimals, calculating remainders and finding unit fractions of amounts.
Useful for older students who need to refresh their times tables.

These 9 worksheets provide an introduction to measuring and drawing three figure bearings beginning by looking at the 8 points of the compass. The practical uses of bearings in the real world are emphasised by requiring students to work through word problems with varying levels of support.
There is a lot of opportunity for practising measuring and drawing angles up to 360°. Revise angle vocabulary and apply basic angle facts.
As an additional feature sone of the examples also require diagrams to be measured so the map scale can be used to find the actual real life distance.

Uses simple practical applications.
Using real life data to see how 9 out of 10 scales up to 18 out of 20 and eventually 90 out of 100 thus also making a connection with percentages as special ‘out of 100’ fractions.
Also the splitting of a whole into two fractions e.g. 9 out of 10 people being right-handed means 1 out of 10 people are left-handed. Percentages total 100%.

Powerpoint and worksheet showing how to work out a fraction of a small amount, for example 4/5 of 30 using pictures.
To develop the idea of finding one fifth by sharing a set of 30 objects into five equal groups. Then multiply to find how many four fifths of the whole set is.
