Run-on sentences is one the most common errors students make in their writing. This lesson will focuses on how to correct them. The students will learn ways to help properly write two complete sentences (independent clauses) in one sentence by using the correct punctuation and conjunctions. PowerPoint & worksheet (with answers) included.
A fun, informative and interactive lesson on phobias. I use when interesting language questions focused on tension, drama, scariness, dramatic etc. However, could be used as a fun starter on anything. I have included the top ten phobias on the PowerPoint and a separate Word document. Fun starter with two different rounds. Round 1: the students must decide on the five most common letters used in the English alphabet (E, A, R, I, O). Round 2: Give the students the worksheet included in this resource which has key letters removed from ten movies. After a few minutes you give them the E, then the A and so on. They love it! Modern images with movies from 2022 included e.g. The Batman, Dune etc.
