Have your students practice research writing skills by collating and recording information in this editable flipbook on Eid. The titles, pictures and writing prompts for each section of the flipbook scaffold writing and research. ITEMS INCLUDED Editable Flipbook Self-editing checklist Peer-editing checklist Teacher Marking Rubric: 3 options Writing sheets x 2 Display Banner reading, ‘Happy Eid’ (2 options) PARTS OF THE FLIPBOOK/INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK Cover Page (20 options) Eid: history and origin Festive Food: foods specifically associated with Eid Custom and Tradition: ways of celebrating and interesting facts **EDITABLE TEMPLATES ** All text in the flipbook templates are EDITABLE. Simply, type inside text to edit content and save as a PDF file. The flipbook scaffolds the research process with guiding prompts. This could also serve as the first draft where students use the self-editing and peer-editing checklists to edit. Finally have students publish on given writing sheets or type out content from draft observing corrections (optional). Suggested use: Have students refer to books, websites, and videos to record information on Eid. HOW TO ASSEMBLE FLIPBOOK: You can choose either of the two options. Print out the templates in blackline. Cut around each template and assemble from smallest template to largest template. Have students colour in cover page. Staple at top tab for flipbook or glue descending order in notebook. Print out the templates on cardstock (different colours). Cut around each template and assemble. Attach at top. PREPARATION → For grades 2-3, bundle up to 6 sheets together after sorting, align them perfectly and cut. → For grades 4-6, students are old enough to cut and compile flipbooks on their own. I have my students compile all sections of the flipbook prior to research and writing. DISPLAY After completion, display students’ flipbooks under the Eid Banner. These flipbooks are sure to make an interesting bulletin board display.

This centre activity bundle will provide your students with a fun way to practise the 1-12 times tables. Both colour and black and white templates included. ITEMS INCLUDED ✅ Centre Manipulatives in colour for times tables 1-12 ✅ Centre Manipulatives in black and white for times tables 1-12 ✅ Practice Sheets x 4 for each times table ✅ File folder cover for each times table THE ACTIVITY: ⚫ Students will feed each ‘Biggy Mouth’ animal by matching each multiplication sentence (food) to its product (animal). ⚫ Once students have matched each multiplication sentence with its product, they may complete the times tables activity sheets. There are four practice sheets; two sheets have the times tables horizontally written and the other two, vertically written. In the first sheet, the times tables are written in order, while the second sheet, the times tables are mixed up. This graphing unit features interpreting data in bar graphs and pictographs. Data is collected using concrete materials such as visuals, dice, spinners, coins and M&M’s . This data is then represented in bar graphs and interpreted. The section on pictographs requires collected data to be interpreted. These no prep printables facilitate students to move from the concrete to the abstract.
