This resource was designed with the new Worldviews curriculum in mind. The bundle traces some key events in the life of Jesus. This opening resource supports students to think about Jesus from different perspectives, who he is to Historians? Who he is to Christians? Why he is considered a saviour? What was his life like - what was the context at the time. There is also a comprehension worksheet to complete for homework that goes into more depth.
This is a KS3 resource, year 7s-9. I have added in an extra short resource if you wish to expand it further to consider Jesus as Messiah could be looked at in more depth. You could also consider discussing the Parables, Holy week, Life after death etc if you want to spread it out for a term. Otherwise this resource set can be completed in a half term if done efficiently. I personally try to cover a lot in KS3 and move through topics quite swiftly but there is also benefits to stretching this material out, to use the HW sheets as in class materials and then offer shorter homework tasks from textbooks etc.
All resources should be supplemented with effective questioning to reap the best results! ‘Tell me more about that?’ ‘Does anyone disagree?’ ‘Why might Jesus have done this?’ etc.
This lesson contains:
The changing nature of Christian demographic (it may be interesting to add in the British census report to this part)

Politics resources are few and far between and often of not very high quality. I have got to a place where I feel confident that using my resources I can get fantastic grades and create great and up to date lessons in Politics. This year I started doing Politics teaching consultancy and it made me aware of how difficult a lot of teachers are finding it to build appropriately challenging, in depth and up to date resources. Now I am making some available.
FREE single sample lesson on Additional Member System from the Elections pack provided for you to get a sense of what you are buying. However, to get any further resources you have to purchase as a whole unit as each lesson reflects and builds upon the next. Alongside resources that I have made, the range of Edexcel Politics textbooks, can support this content alongside a subscription to PreChewed Politics but they are not necessary to make use of the resources. If there are answers in the slide notes to questions that you do not know the answers to, you can produce quick answers by plugging in the questions into ChatGPT but if you follow the lessons in order you should find that the circular nature of the resources means that you are always building on previous knowledge.
These resources are four years in the making, they offer both a great combination of knowledge and skills development and can be altered and adapted as they come in the form of Microsoft/Google friendly documents. I get fantastic results and happy classrooms so I hope you do to.
