A gentle introduction to algorithms. What are they, how do we use them everyday, and how can we identify them? A powerpoint/slideshow that explains the basics of what an algorithm is without going too in depth or technical. Also included is a worksheet with both quantitative and qualitative questions about identifying and explaining algorithms and their purpose.

This pack contains a solar system interactive app that allows you to explore the galaxy and learn about all the planets, Pluto, the Sun, the Moon, the Mars Rover, and more. This pack also contains a couple of small activities, a maze and word scrambles. It also includes a worksheet. These all include the questions and answers sheet to make the marking easier. There is also a quiz application which contains 55 questions. These questions are shown in a random order, so it can be different each time you run it. This gives you a bunch of information and fun activities to help teach and learn about the planets and our solar system.

This tool allows you to generate random fraction based questions in different categories: simplification, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This questions can either be answered and marked automatically within the application (with all the workings out) or you download the questions and answers into worksheets that can be given to the students. This application is created using web technologies, which means in opens within a browser. All the files included in this package must be kept together, otherwise the application will not work correctly. To open the application simply double click on the ‘index.html’ file or right click it and open it within a browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc). To download the question and answer sheets simply generate the desired questions and print the web page (CTRL+P) and choose ‘save as pdf’. This will be the question sheet. Then press the ‘mark answers’ buttons and download a pdf again (CTRL+P and choose ‘save as pdf’) this will be the answer sheet. All the buttons and tick/cross will be removed when printing.

A presentation explaining what the Caesar Cipher is, as well as definitions for encryptions and cryptography, and an activity to create cipher dials and encoded messages. Also, a word search with encrypted answers - so the children have to first decrypt the words then find them in the word search. This would work great as a small activity or in addition to a unit of work. It offers a way to add a fun activity to get children engaged in what could be an otherwise boring subject. A quiz game where you have to select the correct country from a highlighted map. This quiz contains 47 questions, each with a highlighted map and four choices. This could be used as a lesson starter or as a game to play during a geography or map lesson. All the questions are randomly ordered, so whenever you play the questions will be in a new random order, and if you answer all the questions they will repeat in a new random order. This quiz is made within powerpoint and will automatically open in presentation mode, you can press the escape (ESC) key at any point to escape the app. When you open the powerpoint it will ask you to enable macros. This package also contains a image for every highlighted country and a blank map. These could be used to create your own worksheets or as a colouring activity. A KS2 quiz around a data table taken from a previous SAT exam. This quiz will test the ability to read and interpret the data from the table. It is a macro-enabled powerpoint quiz. When you open the document it will automatically start in presentation mode and ask you to enable macros. You can exit the quiz at anytime by pressing the escape (ESC) key on the keyboard. This quiz contains 74 questions that will be displayed in a random order. Every time you open the powerpoint the order pf the questions will be randomised. If you answer all 74 questions then it will repeat the questions but in a new random order. These teaching resources contains a presentation explaining the basic operation with animated examples, an excel spreadsheet with randomly generated questions and automated marking that could be used as a lesson starter, and question and answer sheets with over 200 questions. This could be used as a starter for a lesson, or as a quick activity/refresher.
