An odd-one-out, free-time speaking activity using photos. The aim of the main activity is for students to describe what there is in a photo, to develop their ideas and to make comparisons. The PowerPoint includes differentiated versions for Higher and Foundation Tier, a follow-up activity to help students reflect on their own learning/revision and example sentences for students to take away ideas.
Can be used as an introduction to the AQA or Edexcel GCSE Speaking Photo/Picture Card as it encourages description of a photo - the first bullet point of each specification (¿qué hay en la foto?/la descripción de la foto).
A GCSE Spanish homework with translation and writing exercises. Students have to adapt model phrases for the translation and writing to produce their own text for a tourist leaflet. A follow-on activity could be to design and create the whole leaflet, including a corrected version of the text.
