Structured to familiarise students with GCSE unit structure, the unit begins with abiotic and biotic characteristics before looking at a recent earthquake and volcanic event.
There is a diagnostic assessment, mid point assessment and end of unit assessment. Purple Pen Progress lessons included after the mid-point and end-point.

A concerted effort has been made to reduce photocopying by creating resources which can be laminated and used by multiple groups or repeatedly throughout the unit.
