This is a complete lesson covering sections 5.2.4 a and b of the OCR A level Biology specification- the endocrine system. It starts with introducing the endocrine system as well as the various endocrine glands in the human body. It then moves on to discussing hormones including the different types of hormones and their actions. There is then a comparison of hormonal communication and neuronal. The lesson closes by looking at the adrenal gland including its structure and the different role it plays in both the endocrine system as well as the sympathetic nervous system. Could be used as homework tasks / starter Each one comprises a range of 20 questions covering topics in AQA Physics paper 1 When completing students tick the relevant box whether they were able to answer on what they remember (brain) or by using a textbook or revision guide (book). Teachers can then use this to target additional activities. Later activities repeat questions which again adds to the retrieval aspect of the tasks
