GCSE Biology: Knowledge Organiser on Gas Exchange and Breathing Topic

(0)
Knowledge organisers have become increasingly popular with both students and teachers alike. Research shows that students find them a much more effective tool to condense their topic notes, in order to learn the content for assessments. Even better is that the notes are laid out on one page, rather than over several pages in a textbook or revision guide. The knowledge organiser has two versions, a completed version/answer sheet and a worksheet version, which allows pupils to be more active in their learning and complete diagram labelling/sentences/tables etc. The knowledge organiser covers all of the gas exchange topic (topic 11) on the CIE IGCSE course and features the following subtopics: Lung structure and function Gas exchange and the adaptations of the alveoli The process of ventilation The effect of exercise on breathing Make sure you print out on A3 paper Thanks for looking.

(5)
A cut and stick and cloze activity aimed at A level students. The activity is designed so that students can learn and identify the key stages of meiosis and describe what happens in each of the main stages. The cloze activity allows students to become more familiar with the key terminology associated with this topic. This activity can be completed by students independently as all instructions are given on the sheets. Ideal for both teaching the topic and also as a revision aide. The activity has been provided in both an A3 and A4 format to allow for printing in either size. I would advise to print in A3 if possible as it keeps all the stages of meiosis on one sheet and makes it easier for the student to compare the two different stages of meiosis.
