These can be given after teaching the required practical, homework or at the end of year 11 for revision before their exams. My current year 11s have found these particularly useful to go through in revision lessons and have taken extra home to use as revision tools. A lesson for the new AQA Biology specification about the effects of pollution and human activity on biodiversity. Videos can be included about biodiversity - probably the trailer for Planet Earth 2. This lesson compresses the following topics into one lesson with the use of information sheets and a table: 4.7.3.2 Waste Management 4.7.3.3 Land Use 4.7.3.4 Deforestation Students found this type of activity useful, but needs consolidating at the end with either an exam question of other AfL techniques.

New AQA GCSE Biology specification for Classification of Living Organisms Students are asked to identify the names of the different animals using the worksheet provided. Questions are also given about the use of the latin names and expected to decipher some of them themselves.

A short lesson on the cables involved in a plug (Low ability). An exam question can be used to extend the activity in the lesson, but as the plugs are used this shouldn't leave enough time.
