This is a set of three lengthy PowerPoints that can be used over 2/3 lessons. The first PowerPoint introduces an extensive range of grammatical terms, including pronouns, infinitives, conjugated verbs, articles, intensifiers and many more with lots of examples. There is a plenary/test to check students’ comprehension. The other two PowerPoints have a more in-depth check of understanding with French texts; one for students who have only covered present tense verbs; and the other covering three tenses.

This PowerPoint goes through all rubrics needed, starting with understanding the main verbs, commonly used words and then through to whole instructions in French. This set of resources has extracts from 5 well known books with different activities to do on each of them. The resources are firstly presented on a PowerPoint, with all texts and questions appearing on the slides, as well as answers to the given activities. They also appear as 5 accompanying worksheets, which can be used independently and individually. Activities include: matching vocabulary, questions in French, questions in English, find the French from the text, multiple choice questions (in French and English), gap-fills and true or false. This is aimed at higher tier students.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce describing others and oneself. There is a lengthy PowerPoint (76 slides) that goes through describing height, build, hair and eyes with reinforcement activities, match up activities, gap fills, translations and reading comprehension. It then goes on to introduce 16 characteristics with match ups, snake sentences and reading comprehensions. The final activity is the creation of a wanted poster for students to complete. There is an 8-page worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. These resources are enough for several lessons and start from introduction through to pupils confidently using all of the new language, creating whole descriptions of themselves and others.

The PowerPoint introduces the places of work with practice exercises. The PowerPoint goes on to practice working hours, full/part-time, activities in a job, liking/disliking a job and so on. The wide range of activities includes match-ups, gap-fills, reading comprehensions, translations, choosing the grammatically correct sentence and describing photos. This resource is for KS3 students, based on the GCSE Theme 1 Topic ‘Self, family and friends’ (or for foundation level KS4 students). The booklet contains a whole range of reading, writing and speaking exercises, similar to those that students could face at GCSE. The student booklet is a 29-page document, broken down into six sub-topics and each sub-topic has 10 exercises to complete. In each set there is plenty of practice of each item. Pupils are able to practice answers to question about what they wear and what other people wear/ are wearing (present tense only). There are various activities for them to complete and a lengthy worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. Also enclosed in the pack is a word search document. After practicing all of the clothes, the PowerPoint revises colours and goes on to explain adjectival colour agreements in the accusative with lots of examples. There is a table that pupils can copy or it can be printed, as a reference for all future work with colours in the accusative form.
