This resource explains the uses of French infinitives for GCSE level. It starts from the beginning, going over how to recognise infinitives and their uses in French. The PowerPoint goes through infinitives following conjugated verbs; infinitives used as nouns; infinitives following prepositions; and infinitives as commands or instructions. For each section there are examples and different exercises to complete. There is a worksheet included that accompanies the PowerPoint.

This resource is to actively practise and use the 3 past tenses – imperfect, perfect and pluperfect. It goes through a revision of each tense with exercises to check comprehension for each tense and an accompanying worksheet. Then the main text is introduced which is part of a ‘mysterious story’. This is first as a listening activity with two different exercises to complete and a worksheet. This should certainly take two – three lessons.
