I’ve been a primary school teacher for 5 years and work as a private tutor for different ages. I enjoy creating new, engaging materials that encourage children to enjoy learning. The resources in my shop are mainly aimed at primary aged children. However, I’d like to start creating some resources for GCSE students, especially for modern foreign languages.

Included in this pack are 3 sets of worksheets aimed at year 2 students, with some challenging questions that stretch beyond year 2 expectations. For the lower ability, the questions are mainly addition with few subtraction problems under £1. The middle ability worksheets include many of these types of questions and encourage students to begin subtracting from £1. The higher ability questions offer more of a challenge. Children have to check the prices from the toy shop carefully before adding or subtracting the amounts. Some of these questions go beyond £1 and are only aimed at the most able year 2 children. All questions encourage children’s reasoning skills and are written as word problems.
