This problemometer is a really helpful tool when guiding children in becoming classroom problem solvers. Every teacher knows what it’s like to have a thousand questions/problems being fired at them by the children. Some of them are necessary and others may not always need a teacher’s attention. This tool helps the children to become independent problem solvers when appropriate. Use the examples (or add your own) to help children decide if they can solve it themselves or tell an adult. Ask them: Where does it fit on the scale? Can they try to solve it first? Does an adult need to know immediately? How serious is this problem?

This High 5 listening hand is a really helpful classroom management tool, supporting the children in their listening. A very helpful countdown method is to be used by the teacher to guide the children in the listening expectations. The teacher can use the phrase whilst putting their hand in the air- “High 5 listening in 5, 4 , 3 , 2 , 1” and the children are to put their hand in their air whilst following the 5 listening expectations.

When students are feeling really proud of their work, they can request that a picture or photocopy be taken and celebrated. This is a great way to encourage your students work hard and be proud of their work. Cut out the cameras and laminate for durability. Glue them to a peg or clip. When not in use, the cameras can be clipped onto the sign and displayed, or displayed in a pot. Use the proud stickers to display next to their work, so the student can share why they were so proud. These can be printed on a labels sheet (A4, 8 per page) or printed on paper and cut out.

It’s time to show you’re the sharpest shooter in town! A fun, themed multplication game where children can compete to be the faster gun slinger as they develop their multiplication recall. Game includes random number generators for up to 12x12. Either use a set times table by clicking through the first number until you find the table you want or play randomly. For preference purposes, an alternative version includes a hover over the number ability (rather than clicking) Music included that plays across the slides. various ways to play: 1- children are back to back and have to turn round to shoot the answer at their partner 2- 2 teams: each child on a team has a set number of ‘bullets’. They choose when to use them by throwing hand up and shouting bang. The fastest hand gets to answer. A point if correct. If hesitation or wrong answer, it goes to the other team. NOTE: Make sure you enable macros when given the option as this will allow the randomisation to function
