The story begins in a small rural village in Britain, where the parishioners must decide whether or not to take in evacuees coming from the city.
There are plenty of learning opportunities with this script and lots of key WWII vocabulary for the children to learn.

These cute little flashcards are usually hanging around my room. At the end of every lessons students move to the skill they felt most confident with in the lesson and then the skill they feel they want to work on in the next lesson. The skills are listening, speaking, motivation, confidence, cooperation, organisation, responsibility.
An exercise to review the class rules
This is an exercise I gave students if they forgot some of the rules of the Drama class. It includes a comprehension outlining the rules, questions and a composition based on what they have learned from the exercise and how they plan to use it to move forward. There is a question sheet for junior primary and senior primary.
An end of year reflections exercise
This reflection was given to the students in the last lesson of the year. It was an opportunity to reflect on all they learned, the skills they improved, the games they enjoyed and also allowed them to focus on their targets for the next year. There are two sheets, one with questions and one for them to create a drawing showing their favourite activity.

Viking Math Quest- This Viking Quest is designed to be a cross-curricular link between humanities and maths. There are 30 word problems for the students to solve, covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are 3 rounds of questions which they must solve. Once they solve the questions they are given clues written in runes. They must solve these clues in order to stop a Viking attack on the Anglo-Saxons. All answers are provided as well as teacher instructions. Children can work independently or as part of a group.
Viking Runes: This resource will help your class become familiar with Viking runes. It gives them different messages in runes which they use their key to decode.
Viking Word Search: A word search puzzle worksheet featuring vocabulary related to the Vikings. Use this to introduce vocab at the start of a Viking Unit or as a treat for early finishers. This resource helps students practice the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. The bingo cards are 4 squares X 4 squares with one free space in each. The cards are saved as a PDF with two cards per page.

The presentation explains what a suffix is and also explains what -tion and -sion means when used as suffixes. There are differentiated activities included in the presentation. Activities include, matching the word to the meaning, dictionary work and writing sentences. There is also a page which explains the spelling rules for the suffixes.
