The first lesson in our Past, Present & Future series which explores who we think are the key people, companies, inventions and events that have shaped through Computing The lesson aims to help diversity to be visible in the curriculum – so useful for LGBT History Month (February) and Black History Month (October) The resource includes: Lesson presentation (PPTX but text areas are images) including plenary questions using Bloom’s Taxonomy Factfile for students to use for research (DOCX) Support sheets with smaller version of slides on (PDF) Useful Links (PDF) Plenary Questions template with word Plenary removed so they can be used in different ways (Can be completed in PDF) Further Exploration – more challenging research questions (PDF) The lesson can be delivered in many ways but the overall aim at the end of the unit is to create a timeline Sadly we could not include every invention and person in this version but it should give students a flavour of the past!
