This pack is designed to use to track progress in Reading Workshop.
There are pages for tracking spoken language, reading, and writing curriculum objectives taken from the 2014 National Curriculum of England’s English Document.
This pack includes the different objectives for
Year 3 and Year 4 with sheets for real time progress tracking and sheets to send home to parents for follow-up. Evidence can be included on the sheets as QR codes of audio or images for conferencing.

Survival Invention Add-on for Novel Study
This resource is designed to be used during Reading Workshop and can be used alongside any novel with a theme of survival. In the past, I have used this alongside novels such as Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen (STEAM pack with this add-on available), and The Skeleton Tree by Iain Lawrence (STEAM pack with this add-on available).
The pack has been designed in alignment with the 2014 National Curriculum of England’s reading objectives for Year 6.

In this resource, children will research and prototype different traditional holiday treats. They will then design, make, and evaluate treats made by a peer and their own holiday treats.
Resources for researching different traditional holiday treats are provided, as well as lesson plans and rubrics. This unit follow the 2014 National Curriculum of England’s Design Technology objectives and Next Generation Science Standards.

Students will practice writing powerful paragraphs that advance the action with dialogue before writing a short narrative in the second person.
The pack includes different graphic organizers, resources for lower ability pupils, as well as lesson plans and rubrics. All learning outcomes are aligned with the 2014 National Curriculum of England, and connections to CCSS are noted, where appropriate.
In the past, I’ve used this resource during my Heroes & Villains unit, but it could be used as a stand alone learning outcome, as well.

Information Text About a MakeyMakey Controller
Children will consider video game controller design before discussing what makes a controller effective. Children will then write an informative text about how a MakeyMakey works, including what they can be used for and what makes them effective.
Scaffolds and planning checklists are provided to support children in their writing. Objectives from Year 6 are used, pulled from the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the Interim Framework.
Lesson plans, editable rubrics and classroom examples are included.

Year 4 Maths: Operations
This resource has been made using the operations objectives for Year 4 from the 2014 National Curriculum of England:
Add and subtract numbers with up to 4 digits using the formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction where appropriate
Estimate and use inverse operations to check answers to a calculation
Solve addition and subtraction two-step problems in contexts, deciding which operations and methods to use and why
Recall multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 x 12
Use place value, known and derived facts to multiply and divide mentally, including: multiplying by 0 and 1; dividing by 1; multiplying together three numbers
Recognise and use factor pairs and commutativity in mental calculations
Multiply two-digit and three-digit numbers by a one-digit number using formal written layout
Solve problems involving multiplying and adding, including using the distributive law to multiply two digit numbers by one digit, integer scaling problems and harder correspondence problems such as n objects are connected to m objects
The pack can be used for reinforcement, in Maths centres for review, Morning Maths work, as well as for home learning tasks.
The Magic Box Poetry Mini-Unit
**Aligned with the 2014 National Curriculum of England
Included are the resources to follow a sequence of sessions where they develop their own ideas before applying them to the style of the model poem.
Children are introduced to the poem and decide what they would include in their own magic box. After reviewing poetic devices, children return to their ideas and include poetic devices to make them stronger before drafting their own poems.
As a maths and arts link, children can then design and make the nets of their magic boxes before building them into their boxes. Children can then add items and illustrations to their boxes representing the different ideas from their poems.

Punctuation and Grammar Dice for Key Stage 1 Mega BUNDLE
This resource is meant as a support or challenge for children in Key Stage 1 during writing exercises.
Nets are printed, laminated, and made into cubes so children can use them when they are stuck with their writing. Colourless copies also included.
The grammar and punctuation on the dice are taken from the 2014 National Curriculum of England.
PUNCTUATION: singular possession, commas for lists, full stops, capital letters, exclamation and question marks
GRAMMAR: suffixes, contractions, cohesive devices

This resource has been made using the NUMBER AND PLACE VALUE OBJECTIVES for Year 5 from the 2014 National Curriculum of England:
Read, write, order and compare numbers to at least 1 000 000 and determine the value of each digit
Count forwards or backwards in steps of powers of 10 for any given number up to 1 000 000
Interpret negative numbers in context, count forwards and backwards with positive and negative whole numbers, including through zero
Round any number up to 1 000 000 to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10 000 and 100 000
Solve number problems and practical problems that involve number and place value
Read Roman numerals to 1000 (M) and recognise years written in Roman numerals
