Revision activity for the biological molecules topic in the OCR Biology A Level. Students get given the cards and have to arrange themselves in order so that the questions and answers are next to each other. One card has just a question (the beginning) and one has just an answer (the end). Covers content on carbohydrates, lipids and proteins.

A series of lessons looking at climate change and global warming. Lesson 1: Causes- what global warming is, what greenhouse gases are, are humans the cause, deforestation and fossil fuels. Lesson 2: Effects- data about climate change, sea level rise, ocean acidification, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, extreme weather events, effects on health and a graph drawing exercise. Lesson 3: Solutions- what can governments do, the Paris agreement, what businesses can do and renewable energy. Lesson 4: Solutions- what individuals can do to combat climate change. There are lots of exercises and information included in each lesson and it could easily be condensed down into fewer lessons by excluding some tasks. Likewise some of the tasks could be stretched out across several lesson depending upon the time you have. All worksheets/resources needed are within the PowerPoint as hidden slides.

Quick revision activity for Edexcel B3 (old spec). I give each student a card which has a question and an answer on it and they need to arrange themselves to match up the correct questions and answers. The start card only has a question and the end card only has an answer (depending on how many in the class they could be placed on either side of the room).

CB6d lesson from the new Edexcel Science GCSE (9-1) looking at transpiration and translocation. Including what xylem and phloem are, adaptations of xylem and phloem, what translocation is, what transpiration is, factors that affect transpiration, how to measure transpiration (practical) and summary questions for CB6.

A series of worksheets designed for a use on/after a sampling fieldtrip. Originally designed for sixth form Biology but several aspects could be used for a GCSE fieldtrip. Worksheet 1: Ecological concepts- Explains populations, communities, abiotic and biotic factors and asks them to comment on different factors at the sample site. Worksheet 2: Comparing plant communities in two different areas- Explains how to determine how many quadrats to use, how to randomly place quadrats, how to estimate percentage cover and recording tables for two different sites. Worksheet 3: Taking a transect- Explains the different types of transect and asks them to comment on a transect they have taken.
