Cut and stick sheet with pictures of physical and human features for children to sort plus drawing od Katie Morag's Island where children are instructed to colour physical features green and human features red. Good differentiation allowing children to choose how they show you what they know.

Following a series of work on different types of poems (acrostic, rhyming and shape) children get to choose their favourite and write a really good poem in that style about Easter.

IWB pages to work through to explain the difference between physical and human features of an environment. The last page has lots of different features hiding the words physical or human behind them depending on what they are, as a plenary to the lesson children can come up and say what type they think it s and why, then move the picture to reveal the correct answer.

Simple and colourful sheet to share with parents once children can read unfamiliar texts on sight and you are wanting to develop their comprehension and deduction skills. Simple information about the range or AFs in reading, and example questions to ask to get evidence of children's understanding for each AF. I am planning on giving these out at parents evening.

Linked to a topic on the sinking of the Titanic, children are asked to compare and contrast clothes from 1912 and now. Lots of photos of different social groups and activities that require specific clothing to look at. Links well with an activity making paper clothes for paper dolls (looking at how many layers people used to wear).

Children develop collage skills as well as understanding of Tudor houses and materials used to build them as part of the Great Fire of London Topic. Children then look at paintings of the Great fire of London, thinking about secondary sources, and then paint atmospheric fiery pictures to form the background of a display.
