As teachers with many years experience, we have assembled some home learning packs that children will enjoy working through at home, independently or with an adult. There is a pack available for every age and year group. Age ranges are based on the ability of the average child in a year group. If your child is working at a higher or lower ability, in comparison to their age, you may need to go up or down a scheme. All resources are available for immediate download.
Simply, print each activity out on paper, using your home printer and your child can immediately start working. They can work at their own pace. Activities for younger children, could be laminated and filled out with washable felt tip pens.
The resources included in each pack of work are designed to keep children busy for approximately a month. We hope that our packs will help children progress and compensate for any loss of schooling, that may arise.
Our home learning packs are very good value and they are heavily discounted, with at least 50% off RRP. At Guinea Pig Education, we want all children to have access to education, at this difficult time.
This bundle of resources are for children who are 4-5 years. Children who are learning to read three letter words, such as, cat and fun.

Improve Your English Work Packs teach the child good English. They help improve the child’s punctuation, spelling and grammar skills. There are a wide range of packs to choose from, providing practice in sentence writing, use of connectives and parts of speech. The child will also be introduced to literary techniques - similes, metaphors and other stylistic devices.
The format of each pack is so simple. The pages are quick and easy to work through, so the child will learn fast and remember skills taught easily. Each pack includes a lesson plan, with structured exercises, including answer pages. Improve Your English Work Packs save hours of time when preparing lessons or homework tasks.
Included in this series, there are eight structured assessment tests, to test vocabulary, capital letters, punctuation, spelling and use of English language with answers.

This book is designed to help the child think up ideas, providing starting points and guidelines on structuring and organizing their writing. There is emphasis on building up characters and settings.
Book 2: Learning Persuasive Writing and Argument will enable the student to practice different aspects of writing: letters, leaflets, brochures and newspaper articles for example. The book also sets out how to write a well-balanced argument. It teaches the pupil how to structure their writing, putting forward a point of view, backing it up with convincing evidence, building up a relevant counter argument and knocking it down, as well as, putting forward their own comments and opinions. It focuses on discursive writing enabling the pupil to examine points for and against in a variety of subjects suitable for older children and teenage readers, healthy eating, fashion, social issues and many more. It includes a lively collection of writings, poems and a play to inspire the pupil. These are designed as starting points, ideal for the pupil who finds it difficult to think up ideas for writing, challenging them to recreate their own persuasive pieces.
Book 3: Information Writing teaches the child to recognize the difference between facts and opinions. It concentrates on different aspects of information writing required by the National Curriculum, including writing to advise, to inform, to explain, analyse, review and comment, giving examples. In each book, attention is given to making writing more interesting by varying sentence types and the importance of using good spelling, punctuation and grammar. The student will investigate writing for the appropriate audience and using different narrative structures. They will learn to evoke mood and atmosphere by using good vocabulary.
