I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

I wrote this as a homework sheet one year, aimed at foundation GCSE students of around grade 5 and less ability. I tried to cover as much as possible and to put the questions in context to make it more accessible. I hope you can find it to be of some use. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

This was a Year 7 lesson filler for that last two minutes after they’ve packed up and your waiting for the bell, or it can be used as a settling activity. Write a two digit number in the target Students must answer all the questions as quickly as they possibly can.

The Best Value - Lite

(1)
This is a starter is used at Key Stage 3 I have included a PDF with 8 questions and then included the same 8 questions as a powerpoint. Prices are relevant to 2020 I use a variety of techniques which should be discussed - what is the price per item? what is the price of the common multiple etc. Don’t forget to emphasise that the items in each pack must be identical for a comparison to be valid. Hope you find this useful. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

One of the first topics to teach at ‘A’ level. I introduce the idea of asymptotes, double/triple roots and inflexion through this worksheet. 26 Questions - too many ! I use some for examples, some for classwork, some for homework and some are always left over for either revision or extra work for remedial study. Hope you find it useful - please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you. Answers are included.

Division Of Fractions

Division Of Fractions

(0)
This is a PDF consisting of 52 questions on division of fractions. This PDF is written as 2 questions each with 26 parts, question 1 uses fractions only while question 2 uses mixed numbers. With these worksheets I used questions in one column as examples, the second column was then used for class/homework leaving extra questions for either revision or extra practice if necessary. We always felt that too many questions was better than insufficient. This worksheet is part of the suite which is sold as Fractions for KS3 which includes the answers.
