I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Circles And Squares - 8 Questions aimed at more able students

This worksheet is a great compliment to our sheets on the area and the circumference of a circle. It is a PDF consisting of 8 questions with parts of circles inside squares where insufficient information seems to have been given. I aimed this at more able students in year 9 and 11. Answers are provided Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Curve Sketching at GCSE

This set of resources consists of two PDFs covering sketches required for higher level GCSE. The sketches are aimed at more able students - so there is slightly more than the average student will need, but it is a teaching aid - you can decide how for to go. I have always found these notes cover everything that I wanted and the questions are pretty standard. Hope you can find a use for them. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

Sampling and Sampling Methods - Notes for teachers and students with Questions

I have taught Statistics from GCSE level all the way up to Undergraduate level and have files of notes and questions that I have accumulated over the years and recently was asked to post my notes on Sampling as many students don’t get the finer points and most textbooks don’t cover them either. So here they are - I don’t think that the telephone directory is relevant so much to todays methods but have left it in for completeness. Hope that you find them useful.

This is the simplest of worksheets on Linear Sequences - simply state the general term in each case. 26 questions covering all types of question possible. answers are given for the general term but the sheet can easily be adapted: what is the 20th term? find the first term more than 100 is 760 in the sequence? etc great for a homework or classwork sheet - I used to put it on the screen and see how many the class could get in 10 mins Have fun!

Tally Tables

This PDF has 3 questions on drawing up tally tables using 50, 60 or 100 pieces of data. I used to use this in year 10 with foundation level students so there are a couple of harder questions involved but these can be ignored if you wish to use this at KS2, or KS3. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.
