This provides pupils with an example of a brochure about a health farm. It was made to support lower ability pupils - they had to adapt my document by swapping in their own vocab, I set each pupil a target of how many words of their own they had to put in.

An easy French worksheet with several tasks about healthy lifestyle. Pupils have to match vocab, sort into healthy/unhealthy categories, show understanding of short texts, translate sentences and produce their own sentences based on the structures and vocab provided in the tasks. This sheet is provided as two pages of A4, but could be reduced to one side or easily adapted to allow pupils to write on.

This resource is in two parts: a set of cards suitable for pairwork where pupils have to sort the time markers and verbs (in the first person) into past, present and future tenses. The second part is a visual resource highlighting some of the same phrases, grouped together in tenses, with vocab provided beneath to complete the sentences. By building up sentences from the cards, pupils are encouraged to create sentences of their own choice from the vocab provided. As an extension, pupils could be encouraged to add their own details.

Irregular forms are provided, with opportunity for pupils to follow patterns for regular verbs when completing the French.

A short French worksheet to practise using the superlative. Pupils choose from a list to complete the sentences with the most difficult subject/most violent sport, etc, in their opinion. They are asked to translate their sentences and invent more of their own. Look out - you may want to adapt q6 to your own choice of teacher name!

A pair of French worksheets to help pupils practise using qui and que. The easier version has matching tasks: match the sentences to the pictures and match the starts and ends of sentences. The harder version has explanatory notes then a gap-filling task where pupils choose between qui or que. This leads to an open-ended task where pupils complete the sentences with their own ideas.

The theme of the sentences is free time.

A French worksheet with sentences in French and English about Halloween, with some words missing. Pupils have to translate the sentences correctly, to complete the missing words. Whilst the sentences contain Halloween-specific vocab, the missing words are more common-place. A straight-forward introduction to translation tasks, with opportunity to link with work on word order in particular.

A French reading worksheet with two texts: one describes living in the town and the other describes living in the country. Pupils have to summarise the pros and cons of each in English, then find the French for some specific vocab, and finally answer the comprehension questions in English. Could also lead into an extension task where pupils produce their own paragraph about where they live. Answers included on separate sheet.

Pupils choose from 3 options each time, what they would do if they had no... This quiz is based on household objects, but contains a range of cross-context vocab. Could be a dictionary task, or makes a good team-work quiz. Nice end of term activity, leads into pupils making up their own quiz if you want an extension task.
