This case study can easily be adapted if you are unfamiliar with Canadian geography. The lesson first goes over the location of the case study and then starts looking at how this area can be developed through mining, energy, tourism and fishing.

Lesson 4/5 on cold environments as part of the new AQA GCSE specification. This lesson looks at the threats to the cold environment area of northern Canada.

Lesson 3/5 on cold environments as part of the new AQA GCSE specification. This lesson covers the challenges of development in the case study area of the northern territories of Canada. The lesson starts by examining a climate graph of a location in the case study area and from there linking climate to challenges regarding food, transportation, work and housing.

This is the second assessment as part of the lessons on the living world. This assessment covers the case study location of the Amazon Rainforest and the cold environment lessons. The assessment is multiple choice and is out of 20 Marks.

This lesson covers the transportation processes that occur in the Middle course and looks at the formation of meanders. For this lesson there is a hands on activity that requires students to look at 3 different sized "particles" that they have to determine how they move. I used balloons, small tennis balls and balls of play-doh all acquired from the pound shop. You could also use other materials. Students also complete this task while listening to the song Proud Mary because, well, rolling on the river. Enjoy the pun!

This is the sixth lesson in a series on urban issues and challenges as part of the new AQA GCSE specification. This lesson continues the case study of Rio de Janeiro, a city in an NEE. This lesson focuses on the environmental issues in Rio and what is being done to try and solve them.

This is an introduction to the case study for this unit as part of the new AQA GCSE Specification. This lesson introduces Rio De Janeiro as a city within an NEE experiencing urban issues. Students will familiarize themselves with where Rio is, how Rio is structured and some of the issues happening in the city.

This is the fifth lesson in a series on urban issues and challenges as part of the new AQA GCSE geography specification. This lesson focuses on the economic issues in Rio de Janeiro and how these issues link to social issues like crime as well as how these issues are currently being solved.

This is the fifth lesson in a series on rivers for the new AQA GCSE Specification. This lesson covers creating and understanding the long and cross profiles of rivers. Now that students know about the processes and features in each of the three river courses, this is a great lesson to summarize all of that learning and incorporate numeracy into lessons.
