The motor effect
Pressure and pressure calculations
A lesson including learning outcomes, notes on pressure, practice calculations on pressure, practical calculations on rearranging the pressure formula and plenary questions.
Electromagnets Revision Lesson - AQA foundation/mid-ability
A revision lesson for a GCSE foundation tier/middle ablility pupils on electromagnets and solenoids focusing on the magnetic fields. This lesson could also be used to support a practical investigation on electromagnets with the content on the properties of electromagnets and solenoids but does not include any protocols for the investigation.
The lesson includes 3 learning outcomes, keywords, notes on the properties of electromagnets and solenoid with quick review questions and a set of relevant exam questions with mark scheme.
There is also an extension task on planning an investigation into the strength of electromagnets in the style of the new 6 mark questions.
Series and Parallel circuits lesson
A complete lesson aimed at KS3 classes on series and parallel circuits. Includes: starter/settler, learning outcomes, notes on parallel and series circuits, activity looking at current in different circuits, investigation plan into different circuits and review and plenary questions.
Circuits and Circuit Symbols
A first lesson in an electricity topic aimed at Y7 pupils. Includes a presentation that includes a complete lesson: starter/settler, learning outcomes, notes on circuits, symbols and current in circuits, instructions on a simple investigation into circuits and current, review questions, introduction to circuit symbols, instructions on how to draw circuit symbols (with opportunity to model for pupils) and an activity for pupils to draw their own circuit diagrams.
KS3 Sound and Light Knowledge Organiser
A knowledge organiser on the topics of light and sound covering all KS3 areas, particularly aimed at the AQA new KS3 specification but suitable for all curriculum's. Useful to be given as revision aid or at the start of a topic to aid learning.
Resistance in circuits lesson
A complete lesson on resistance in circuits including: a starter/settler, learning outcomes, investigation into resistance activity (use a simple circuit with a bulb, cell, ammeter, voltmeter), calculation practice for calculating resistance and plenary questions
AQA Physics 9-1 Knowledge Organiser - Atomic Structure (4.4) - Revision
A knowledge organiser for the new specification AQA physics course for the atomic structure unit. Includes a complete set of notes on the key knowledge for the topic, useful for revision and/or to be given at the start of the unit to support learning.
KS3 Energy Transfers and Cost of Electricity (power) Knowledge Organiser - Revision
A knowledge organiser on energy transfers, the cost of electricity and power to be used for revision or to aid learning. Designed for the AQA specification KS3 curriculum but suitable for all.
Static Electricity Lesson
Lesson plan on static electricity includes: starter/settler, learning outcomes, notes on static electricity, review questions and a practical investigation to be carried out on static electricity.

A Presentation/lesson plan on fossil fuels aimed at Y7 pupils. Includes a settler/starter, outcomes, notes, review activity, extended writing task (could be differentiated easily), a few other short tasks and a plenary.
Renewable Resources Quiz Quiz Trade - Kagan Activity
30 quiz quiz trade cards for the kagan activity. Pupils pair up, test each other on their questions, swap questions and move on to pair up with another pupil.
Electromagnets - Practical Investigation and Presentation
Two presentations for two consecutive lessons investigating electromagnets:
Lesson 1 - presentation including learning outcomes, notes on electromagnets, instructions for planning an investigation into electromagnets and peer assessment of the method, and plenary questions
Lesson 2 - Contains structure for the investigation in to electromagnets and the conclusions and evaluation sections of these lessons.
Melting and freezing lesson
A complete presentation and lesson to investigate melting points of ice. Pupils investigate the temperature change of ice melting and plot a graph to use to identify melt points.
