Intro to Stanislavski Classroom Based
KS4 CLASSROOM BASSED SCHEME OF WORK - AN INTRO TO STANISLAVSKI
This scheme was create in response to current govenrment restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Students develop their knowledge of a range of Stanislavski’s key rehearsal methods and apply all their learning to a final end of unit performance from a play (to be decided by you!). There are some practical elements to this scheme to make it engaging for the students - they are solo or paired tasks that students could complete either stood behind their chairs or sat on their chairs. I have suggested using duologues for the final assessment but you could choose to give your students monologues that they work or at home or small group extract dependent on what your school allow. They could also interpret the script as a radio play, sat in chairs, facing forwards focusing on their use of vocal skills.
