Activity showing 4 characters and saying where each one lives. Handy for revising/reinforcing different types of homes and locations. Very basic as I work with 7 year olds. Perhaps could be modified for older students.

A mini book to make and fill with grammar rules. I thought this idea would help my students to retain and remember those rules which we have covered to date. I shall be adding more rules as and when we learn them. If anyone has any suggestions as to further rules or tips which night help my students, please do leave a comment. Thanks.

Verbs - Memory Game

(1)
Cards need to be printed out twice. I have included 27 verbs. The memory game can be played in several ways. To begin with place cards spread out face down on a table. Pupils turn over 2 at a time. They have to say the infinitive of the verb showing on the card. When they find two that match, they win them. Next when a card is turned over, pupils have to say the je, tu, il, elle form of the verb. This could then be extended to include nous, vous and ils and elles. A further game could be that pupils have to use the verb in a full sentence.

Ma Ville - matching card game

Pictures of buildings and places you might find in any town. Once children have been introduced to the key vocab they will enjoy playing this game. Pupils have to turn over two matching cards and name whatever is showing on the cards to win them. This activity could be extended further whereby pupils have to say the phrase 'Dans ma ville il y a .....' or if the town doesn&'t have whatever is on the card they have to say &';Dans ma ville il n'y a pas ....&'. If you print off more of these cards, the game could double up for the game of snap. Enjoy and have fun!!
