A fairy tale retold at three levels: simple plus symbol-support of Widgit/PCS symbols, early reading with illustrations, longer version to read aloud with many opportunities for spoken language tasks. Additional activities: colouring, read / match caption to picture and sequence.

Pairs and Dominos are as in the Dinosaur Games upload, plus a Lotto layout (make extra copies of this page as required). Print the COUNT 1-6 DINOSAURS 2-up on A4 and cut to A5 to make a book (or use for sequencing). Print DINOSAURS 1-5, 2-up, on A4 card and cut to make a set of cards to arrange in order. These can be made into a grid pattern with numerals or dice patterns. Suggestions for use included.

It attempts to show the approximate developmental sequence of the baby’s first year and can be related to photos the children bring in for the topic. Basically it is an activity requiring rearrangement of word cards to make questions or statements but there are other ideas in the guide too.

It relates to the curriculum early learning about how wheels help things move. Plenty to discuss from the bossy friend to polite requests.
