Year 8 introduction to poetry week 4 lessons
Lessons based on Imtiaz Dharker's poem 'Blessings'. Can easily be differentiated. Works well with middle to lower sets and builds on empathy and creative writing skills as well as poetry analysis.
Year 9 non-fiction scheme week 3 lessons
Again, linked with PSHE on body image, this week focuses on 'writing to argue&'. The &';debatabase' website is extremely useful for students to pick a topic to explore and it gives both the argument and the counter-argument to really push the G&T students.
