All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

I have called them TEACHER TOOLS as I think they are the types of activities which maybe useful to have at hand. They are created as TEMPLATES so if you download the source code you can change the content yourself. A simple drag and drop activity, sorting pictures of countries into two background pictures of the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. They are created as TEMPLATES for you to adapt and add your own content. The screenshots can be downloaded simply as worksheets. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/02/hemispheres-sorting-pictures-from-side.html The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. learnanytime@gmail.com

problem solving [slider puzzle 1-8] [the solution]

I have eventually found a set of instructions on how to solve a slider puzzle 1-8. By following these instructions even larger puzzles can be solved. The solution is a simple one once a certain set of numbers are in their correct places. It is all about the rotation of a smaller and smaller set of numbers. A simple activity to create. Once you have the template [-an] can be easily changed to [-en], [-in], [-on] and [-un]. The endings again can be changed very easily [-an] to [-at], [-ab], [-ar] and so on. A bank of these available may be a useful resouce to keep handy. I wanted to create an activity in which learners “taught themselves”. I created an invisible framed grid which could overlay a picture. By making those same frames appear coloured when hovered over meant I could write the labels to particular items within the picture. I had the vehicle that allowed learners to to label their own picture. By adding the typewriter script I also had the meants to direct learners to find the specific items within the picture. This became an activity which could be used for any topic of the curriculum in which labelling was important.
