Welcome to the ULTIMATE version of The Chase! The activity has been fully refreshed with gorgeous visuals, authentic sound effects & music from the show and unique animations. Engage and delight students with this easy to use and customisable quiz that works perfectly as a REVIEW activity, a reward activity, a BACK TO SCHOOL (or END OF TERM) treat or just an exciting way to practice questions on a topic / evaluate students’ ability. This quiz game is ideal for use in ONLINE or DISTANCE LEARNING classes and will keep students engaged from start to finish.
This an accurate representation of the game that is sure to delight anyone who has seen the show.
The original game can be easily prepared and played and all answers from The Chaser are automatically chosen.
The game is comprised of 3 sections, each section can be played individually or the whole game can be played through, just like the show!
NOTE: This version of the game has the Chaser answer questions automatically. Due to the small upload sizes and the restrictions on sharing resources on GDrive I have had to limit the versions of the game.
Cash Builder
Contestants are asked a series of questions, with each correct answer they add £1000 to their prize pool.
Face the Chaser
Contestants are given 3 offers, they can take their current prize pool and answer 5 questions correctly, they can take a lower offer and answer 4 questions correctly, or they can take the higher offer and answer 6 questions correctly. With each question The Chaser will also be answering and moving towards the contestant, if the player is caught the game is over.
The Final Chase
Contestants face The Chaser one last time. They have 2 minutes to answer as many questions as they can, after which The Chaser also has 2 minutes to answer questions, if they get any question wrong the timer is paused and the contestants have a chance to answer, if they get it right they add another point to their score. If The Chaser can catch the contestants’ score it’s game over, if not the contestants win!
The game contains comprehensive instructions for both students and teachers on how to play. The game includes up to 18 question slides with full audio and visual feedback. Questions and answers are easily customized and edited. You can try out a DEMO of the activity here.
If your students are fans of the show this is bound to be a sure-fire hit!
EDIT: Updated to v3.2 Edited some of the text and links in the game to clarify single-player nature of the gameplay.
Updated to v3.0 Completely overhauled the game, updated background sounds, music and graphics. Animations have been improved and I have tweaked almost every part of the game to be the best version possible!
Inspired by the classic game, Battleships can be used in classes of any size and any ability. The activity has been prepared to be played to practice present perfect question construction but it is easily editable and can be played to practice any topic and it has full audio and visual feedback. This activity is perfect to use in ONLINE classes and is a great way to engage students and increase student speaking time in those classes where students are reluctant to speak up.
Easily adaptable for lessons and students of all ages and abilities there are 3 different configurations so the game doesn’t become predictable for students, who love the ‘class versus the teacher’ aspect of the game!
Editing the activity is as simple as typing in the expressions / structures you wish to practice.
Students discuss between themselves and choose a square. One click on the square highlights that text and then students have a chance to discuss their answer.
After students / groups have given their answers another click drops the bomb and students find out if they have hit a battleship or not. Once a whole battleship has been revealed you can click it to sink it. The game is over when all the battleships have been revealed.
Based on the classic game, this engaging activity can be used in classes of all sizes and abilities. Entirely customizable, up to 35 questions can be set at a variety of difficulties. Perfect as a REVIEW activity, a reward activity, a BACK TO SCHOOL (or END OF TERM) treat or just an exciting way to practice questions on a topic / evaluate students’ ability. This quiz game is ideal for use in ONLINE or DISTANCE LEARNING classes and will keep students engaged from start to finish.
The activity is simple to set up, each slot corresponds to a question slide, just type in the questions and answers for your students. Questions have been set at three difficulty levels that correspond to their position on the board, this helps the teacher to differentiate throughout the class and enables classes with a broader range of levels to play together (this can be checked on the slide page).
The PPT comes with a simple instruction slide for students and has automatic sounds and both 30-second and 1 minute countdown timers. This version combines all previous products with BOTH vertical and horizontal question and answer slides. Also included is a separate, question-free, fully enabled game of Connect 4 which can serve as a great break time activity for students, or just a reward as part of a class.
Update Notes:
v2.0 I have combined both horizontal and vertical versions into one product! You can select 30 second or 1 min timers. Better animations and timers. Totally updated game board with better gameplay (you can only choose valid game moves) and clear visual cues for clickable drop zones.
v1.3 Edited activity for smoother play in online classes and tidied up animations.

Based on the UK TV show, ‘Tenable’ is a quick and engaging way to inspire discussion and negotiation between students in developing what they think are the top ten answers for a given subject, alternatively use it to simply present the most important concepts for a context in a way that will attract students and engage with learners of all ages. This activity is perfect to use in ONLINE or DISTANCE LEARNING classes to inspire discussion and debate between students and with the right context is a great way to increase student speaking time in those classes where students are reluctant to speak up.
The activity is simple to prepare, on the Title screen the teacher defines the top ten in the given space, on the reveal screen the top ten answers are written in the boxes on the left. When the PPT is played the concept is presented and students are given a time limit to discuss what they think are the correct answers. When the time limit is up the answers can be revealed by clicking on the relevant numbered box.
This PPT contains 5-minute, 4-minute, 3-minute, 2-minute and 1-minute timed title screens with music for use in different levels and for different-ability classes. The timer will run across the background and will show alerts as each minute passes and a “Time’s up” alert at the end.
Students can then give their answers and the teacher can reveal the correct answers by clicking the relevant number.
v1.3 Added an Audio button to restart the music after stopping it. Cleaned up the bottom ribbons to make the initial timer look nicer after clicking to start.
v1.4 After user feedback I have added an option to show a wrong answer. You can click a specific section so the counter travels all the way to the top spot and then the board turns red.
v1.5 Edited animations to work more smoothly and fixed a bug with skipping slides.
v1.6 Edited animations again to work better in online classes and changed the ‘INCORRECT’ text to blend in better with the background on the v1.4 update.
Use this activity to elicit the topic of a lesson, evaluate how much students know in a given topic, or even to help students practice spelling / review words. The perfect resource for teachers going BACK TO SCHOOL and something you can use weekly or even daily that becomes an exciting stage of the lesson for students to collaborate on. This activity is perfect for ONLINE classes and is easy to customise, and engaging for students with full audio and visual feedback.
As students correctly guess the letters just click the relevant spaces to reveal the letters with audio feedback. If an answer is incorrect, click the red X to move Mr. Happy one step closer to the edge of the cliff. Students have 10 chances to fail, on the final chance a version of the ‘Jaws’ theme will begin playing to let students know they must be careful. Students win when all letters have been revealed, if they lose the game the sharks celebrate on the island and Mr. Happy ends up in the water. This is a pain-free and very child-friendly resolution to a classic, and well-known game.
