It is based on the French expo 3 activity and covers imperfect and preterite tenses and narrating in the past.\nAll of the questions are in Spanish. Simple descriptions of some visual Christmas jokes with gaps to fill in the perfect tense of 'er' verbs. Class can make up their own amusing pictures and descriptions.

We laminate these and have them on every desk in the classroom. The feedback from our pupils is really positive and they have helped increase the amount of language used spontaneously in class.

This is a PowerPoint presentation and a simple worksheet to compliment Module 6.3 from Listos 1. It involves present tense conjugation of regular and irregular verbs and freetime activities. There are some simple gapfill exercises on the PowerPoint. I get the class to fill in the verb tables on the worksheet and then write their own sentences linked with pictures from the presentation.

This is a paired speaking activity which I give to pupils once we have covered er verbs and negative sentences from Expo 1. All you need is some post it notes and there is a speaking frame which may be taken away from more able pupils.

Game board with 75 spaces for you to use to invent your own questions on any topic. I have them mounted on coloured card and laminated.

Simple speaking activity where pupils choose their own infinitive phrases (their task planning sheets only allow infinitives) and are asked to conjugate them correctly depending on the time expressions. Requires dice.

This is a lesson I prepared to review the German present tense on the theme of free time activities. It can be used to accompany the Echo courses. It begins with a brain teaser (in German of course) to practise word association. Then present tense phrases are introduced. You can show the vocabulary more than once before asking the class to practise their memory skills. There is a verb drill and a brief reminder of how to form the present tense. There are reading and speaking exercises. Mention is also made of stem changing verbs (lesen/fahren/sehen).
