I made this activity for pupils over two or three lessons. It is based on the French expo 3 activity and covers imperfect and preterite tenses and narrating in the past.\nAll of the questions are in Spanish. There is a vocabulary list to fill in as they go along.\nThere are 2 clues but pupils have to complete exercises correctly in order to get them.\nDo let me know if you spot any errors.

French Irregular Present tense Verb game

(4)
This is a fast paced activity reviewing the present conjugation of irregular verbs. There are over 100 slides and five games to play. Slides give the English and pupils have ten seconds to find the French. The presentation is easily adaptable and can be used either as a whole lesson or as several short activities within a lesson. You can come back to it as often as you like. It helps pupils to perfect their translation of verbs in preparation for exams and helps boost confidence when speaking.

We laminate these and have them on every desk in the classroom. The feedback from our pupils is really positive and they have helped increase the amount of language used spontaneously in class.

This is a PowerPoint presentation and a simple worksheet to compliment Module 6.3 from Listos 1. It involves present tense conjugation of regular and irregular verbs and freetime activities. There are some simple gapfill exercises on the PowerPoint. I get the class to fill in the verb tables on the worksheet and then write their own sentences linked with pictures from the presentation.

Role play board game for language learning

This role play board game is a fun way to prepare for speaking examinations (particularly the new GCSE). It can be used for any language too. Make A3 colour copies and laminate them. You will need dice and counters. There are rules attached. Very good for independent learning, encouraging spontaneous speaking (group talk) and GCSE revision.

Freizeit - talking about what you do in your free time

This is a lesson I prepared to review the German present tense on the theme of free time activities. It can be used to accompany the Echo courses. It begins with a brain teaser (in German of course) to practise word association. Then present tense phrases are introduced. You can show the vocabulary more than once before asking the class to practise their memory skills. There is a verb drill and a brief reminder of how to form the present tense. There are reading and speaking exercises. Mention is also made of stem changing verbs (lesen/fahren/sehen).
