This resource has been created for A Level Photography students but could equally be used with GCSE. The aim is to build understanding of Photographic genres and movements away from the classroom which may influence their coursework and related study. It is also really useful for Blended learning or if students are isolated as they can work through the booklet at home.

Each section contains: overview of genre and key artists, a key word search, some video links, some spaces to research key art work and photographers and a short practical project to show understanding of genre.
For independent Work this aims to cover 8 weeks of Individual study time if used in conjunction with lessons or could be used Blended learning to cover 1 month of home learning.
This project is set up to introduce students to the history of still life through research and a work sheet.
The project then sets students up to study photographer who take a contemporary twist on still life photography.
Students must plan and execute a photoshoot,
This is easily assessible for remote learning.
This pack includes all you need to get started with shutter speed in GCSE photography. Powerpoint to support the introduction of shutter speed with a practical activity.
Powerpoint includes instructions and artists examples. We focused on slow shutter speed in practical work and includes my students examples of shutter speed work along with success criteria.
Powerpoint goes on to give students ways toe experiement with blurring on photoshop with examples.
Separate writing frame also included to support students writing about shutter speed in their annotations.
