Monkey and Hunter A-level Physics resources

Average Rating4.17
(based on 20 reviews)

Find resources for the entire main AQA A-level specification. I specialise in making booklets aimed at filling the void between a textbook (too long for any average pupil to bother reading) and a revision guide (lacks questions, usually misses out important stuff and never really explains anything). The aim is that any pupil (or teacher out of their comfort zone) can make some sense of the topic from working their way through these booklets. Answer/solution sheets are to follow in many cases.

A booklet of notes and questions designed to act as something between a text book and a revision guide. Could be used for examples during lessons or for howework exercises and will support students at home with their other work and exam style questions. may also be used as revision booklets/notes. This is a very useful and versatile resource that covers the whole waves topic in an interesting an entertaining way, whilst challenging candidates with incisive questions.

New AQA GCSE - Waves Scheme of Work

Here is a simplistically laid out scheme of lessons for the waves topic in the new AQA GCSE for separate sciences. It is not fully resourced and assumes some experience with standard practicals (although all resources named on the scheme will be available eventually in my free section along with a technician resource list for each lesson). However it does give suggested activities for each lesson and explains some interesting activities where pupils can be used to act out some complex behaviors.

Answers and worked solutions to the particle booklet. Saves you probably 2 hours of work. more if you were going to try to make it an electronic copy. I plan to provide these for all the booklets, but it is an incredibly time consuming process.

Selection of Key pieces of Work on GCSE forces

These are designed to challenge the pupils to explain the physics from the GCSE in unusual contexts and allow teachers to quickly identify areas for improvement and give better quality feedback on these areas than from normal class work or tests. Studies show that pupils respond less well to feedback when it is accompanied by a grade and so these exercises are designed to provide you with a mark out of 10 for your markbook, but the pupils will feedback about what they are getting wrong or how they can improve in future.

New GCSE Physics: v2=u2+2as

A set of questions on this equation, newly included at GCSE. There is one for each variable and an extension where they have to use a=(v-u)/t first and then v2=u2+2as.

GCSE Advanced Maths Skills Booklet

Self teach style booklet designed to be handed to the very able pupils at GCSE as a stretch and challenge exercise. The idea is that they work through and self assess, only asking for assistance when they are stuck. I feel this could be easily adapted (by changing the title) for year 12 pupils just embarking on their studies and could be used as a source of homework exercises that you check are completed every now and again.
