Volume of cylinders practice (self marking)

(1)
Work out the answers to each cylinder volume, all the answers are there. Now has a second version with extra answers at the bottom to act as 'red herrings' There is a terrible joke on there too if you put the letters into the order the questions appear. What did the orchestra buy from the sweet shop "A tuba smarties" Feel free to chop this off the bottom of the sheet if its too bad.

(1)
Bump game: Use dice/coins to generate a number (instruction on the sheet) place a counter on the picture with the corresponding area/volume subject to the following: if the picture is empty them place the counter on it if it is occupied by ONE opponents counter them bump them off and take its place if it has two or more opponents counters then you cannot take the picture as it is protected, wait till next go and try again. Winner is first to use all their counters (number to be decided at the start) Can also be used as a worksheet.

Volume of pyramids and cones (self marking)

(1)
pictures of various cones and pyramids, calculate the volume. The answers are at the bottom along with some red herrings. If you assign the letters to each question then is spells out "one third of the prism" backwards A couple of errors have now been corrected. The original still works but two answers were missing, I will leave it here as that in itself can be a challenge for the group if they know ahead of time.

Inequalities on a number line (codebreaker) - sports set

(1)
Decode the questions to reveal different sports by considering the inequalities given. Bonus question can you spot the odd one out. I tend to use these as a 'complete question and swap your question with a neighbour' so they are all doing a different question. As the lesson progresses more of them have answers to help those currently doing those questions.

Solve the questions involving parallel lines to find what number goes with what letter then decode the acrostic to reveal the following message: "the final mission tothe moon was apollo seventeen commanded by gene cernan with ron evans there was also a geologist by the name of jack schmitt the mission lasted twelve and a half days with the orbiter challenger docking with lunar module america aftersix days and three and a half hours"
